More price reductions are planned for 2026 in accordance with the agreed-upon strategy, with the goal of bringing data roaming rates approximately on par with what individuals pay to use their phones at home by 2028.
Olivér Várhely, the commissioner for neighborhood and enlargement, gave his blessing to the deal that 38 telecommunications companies signed.
He claims that the goal is to establish a setting where visitors from the Western Balkans and the European Union can feel at home. He highlighted that this sense of comfort and belonging stands in for the genuine integration for which people in the Western Balkans and the EU should strive.
