Starting June 30, 2024, Denmark will implement a new income requirement for foreigners applying for a residence and work permit to enter the country for employment purposes. According to Denmark's regulations, the salary requirement for foreigners applying for a residence and work permit must align with Danish standards under the following schemes:
- Fast Track Scheme
- Herdsmen and Farm Managers Scheme
- Internship Scheme
- Pay Limit Scheme
- Positive List for People with Higher Education
- Positive List for Skilled Workers
- Researcher’s Scheme
- Special Individual Qualifications Scheme
- Supplementary Pay Limit Scheme
Generally, SIRI (the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration) assumes the salary offered to a foreigner meets Danish standards. However, if SIRI determines that the salary does not comply with the country's standards, they may request a comment from the employer before deciding whether to grant the residence and work permit.
