In a recent announcement, Danish authorities revealed that they will be issuing up to 75 residence permits each for nationals of Chile and Argentina under the Working Holiday scheme for the year 2024. This quota is effective from March 1 through August 31, 2024.
The decision marks the beginning of Denmark's Working Holiday quota period for citizens of these two South American nations, as confirmed by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI). According to SIRI, once the quota of 75 residence permits for each country is reached, no additional permits will be granted until the next quota period starts on September 1, 2024.
The Working Holiday scheme allows individuals to travel and work in Denmark for up to one year, with the primary purpose of their stay being tourism. Work is permitted as a secondary activity to help fund their travel expenses.
