All students who have been denied registration at their local immigration office and who believe they have exceptional circumstances in their case can submit an application to DRP for an extension of their student permission using the newly introduced application form, according to the Department of Justice, EU Helpers reports.
The form comprises four sections, as was previously mentioned. Non-EEA students must fill out personal information in the first part, which includes their complete name, date of birth, and nationality, among other things.
Students must specify their current passport or any other travel documents they used to enter the country, as well as their immigration history, in the second portion of the application.
Regarding the third section, it has been made clear that students must supply information about their whole academic background in Ireland, including information on all courses taken there.
The fourth and final element will need students to explain why they were denied registration at their local immigration office and to discuss the extraordinary circumstances that led to their application for Domestic Residence for immigration permission.
The Domestic Residence and Permissions Division may also need additional information as it processes the application.
The form should be posted with the other necessary documents in addition to the previously stated items.
The application will be handled as soon as it is received by the authorities. Although they promised to process the paperwork as swiftly as possible, the authorities are unable to offer updates on the application's progress.
Furthermore, it has been made clear that only citizens of the nation may submit applications. Students must produce three months' worth of pay stubs or bank statements as proof of their current residency in the nation.
If accepted, students must pay a registration fee of €300 and provide proof of private health insurance while registering at their local immigration office.
