Additionally, 66% of the Europeans who participated in the study said they would like to have a single Schengen visa application at the EU level rather than a separate application for each Member State.
However, 33% would rather have a separate app for each Member State that they could download based on where they are traveling to or from.
The theft or loss of one's passport or ID card is perceived as the most serious issues one can face while traveling, according to survey data, even though 45% of Europeans spontaneously stated they had not experienced any problems traveling to or outside the Area in the previous three years.
This has led to the perception that they are in favor of digitizing travel documents.
Another percentage of Europeans were concerned about security dangers brought on by a lack of human resources and the sharing of their personal information.
The survey also reveals that the majority of Europeans think it is crucial to speed up border controls when entering or leaving the Schengen Area and to strengthen collaboration between the EU and its Member States.
In actuality, 87% of Europeans support more EU-Member State collaboration to improve border security into or out of the Schengen area, including 47% who support this concept. The idea of the EU taking action to reduce barriers to travel inside or outside the Schengen area is supported by 77% of Europeans. the EU Commission
Along with the aforementioned options, the majority of Europeans reported owning a suitable gadget for this use. A mobile device that can be used to download the program to save their travel papers is reported by about 80% of Europeans.
