The UK government is reportedly inclined to waive some visa requirements for Indian professionals, although any visa easing is likely to be restricted as immigration is a politically touchy matter in the UK.

The Indian government has consistently campaigned for greater access for its residents, but curbs and control over immigration were instituted in the wake of Brexit in 2016. In addition, immigration is still a contentious issue until the next general election.
The discussion between India and the UK earlier in 2022 ran into trouble over easier access to thousands of trained employees.
The issues were even exacerbated by UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman's immigration policies regarding Indian immigrants.
In a recent interview, Braverman highlighted concerns about a relaxation provided by the trade agreement. She stated that the "largest group of people who overstayed" were Indians.
These remarks, which were made last week, were not well received by India, which stated that both countries should "honor" their "understanding" about migration mobility.
The British government should share information on the number of Indian business travelers who overstayed their visas, according to Indian officials.
The United Kingdom has recently, during the previous few months, taken a number of actions to reduce immigration into the nation. Additionally, it offers little choices for current immigrants to stay in the nation.
