VFS Global emphasized in a formal statement that it is fully up to the different governments to decide whether to provide visas and when to do so, according to EU Helpers.
Moreover, it used the hashtag "Do Not Fall For Fraud" to caution everyone to avoid con artists who promise to expedite visa processes.
"Applicants for visas, be informed! Your visa application is fully up to the discretion of the relevant governments, who also set the deadlines. Avoid con artists promising to expedite your visa approvals, said VFS Global on its official Twitter account.
Along with the aforementioned, VFS Global took sure to emphasise to all candidates that they are only responsible for submitting their application and have no control over the outcome.
It emphasized that "VFS Global has no role or influence on the decision of your visa application."
The warning from VFS Global comes amid an upsurge in complaints of con artists promising to expedite the visa application process in exchange for money.
Remember that no fee is required to be paid when applying for a Schengen visa as long as the process is done directly without the use of middlemen by anyone who needs one to enter the bloc.
When applying on their own, Schengen visa applicants just need to pay the processing fee, which goes to the nation handling the application.
All holders of the Schengen visa are allowed to stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days throughout each six-month period.
A number of documents must be submitted by applicants, depending on the type of visa they are requesting.
All candidates must submit the fully filled and signed visa application form, their valid passport, and two recently taken pictures in order to be considered for a short-term Schengen visa.
