Initial Application Costs

Applying for an EU Blue Card involves an administrative fee of EUR 74.32 for processing the decision on stay and work. In addition, the cost of issuing a biometric residence permit (in card form) varies based on the processing speed:

  • Normal procedure: EUR 31.85
  • Accelerated procedure: EUR 59.73

Regardless of the processing speed, an extra EUR 9.29 is required for issuing the biometric residence card.

Renewal Fees

The renewal process incurs the same charges as the initial application:
