According to estimates by Attica Holidays, over 10,000 clients of Russian tour operators might visit Cyprus by the end of this year. Cyprus is expected to host nearly 8,500 clients from Russian tour operators this year, with 70% of them being tourists booked through the tour operator Russian Express. This year, Russian Express purchased reserved seats on connecting flights from Moscow to Larnaca via Kuwait operated by Jazeera Airways.
The remaining visits from Russians to Cyprus are anticipated to be from independent tourists, residents, and property owners, according to the same estimates. Cyprus is actively pursuing new markets after a decline in organized Russian tourist numbers. This year, the island has seen increased tourist arrivals from the following countries:
- Poland
- Czech Republic
- Armenia
- Israel
- Norway
- Sweden
- Denmark
