A D-type national visa allows entry into Poland for stays exceeding 90 days within its validity, up to one year. Additionally, it grants permission to travel within other Schengen Area countries for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period during the visa's validity.
When applying for a D-type visa, you'll need:
- A valid passport
- Completed and signed visa application
- A passport-sized photo
- Proof of visa fee payment
- Medical travel insurance covering at least EUR 30,000 for medical emergencies, hospitalization, or repatriation costs, or public-funded health insurance as per Polish regulations.
Supporting documents required for a D-type visa application include:
- A document outlining the purpose and conditions of travel.
- Proof of sufficient financial means to cover expenses during the stay and for return or onward travel.
- Evidence indicating the intention to leave Poland before the visa expires.
