The VFS Global Centre for France in Algiers, Algeria, has announced that it won't be able to process visa applications without prior appointments until mid-April.
In an official statement, VFS Global announced that walk-in visa applications will not be accepted from April 4 to April 15. The stated reason for this decision was the maintenance of the system.
As per the statement, once the visa system maintenance is finished, the center will resume accepting visa applications without appointments. Additionally, VFS Global emphasized that no exemptions will be made, including for spouses of French nationals and those renewing residence permits, who will also need to wait until April 15. To minimize inconvenience, individuals with appointments on April 15 from 12 pm onward are advised by VFS Global to visit the center in the morning.
During this period, it was emphasized that the contact center and passport collection services will continue to operate as usual. This ensures that individuals who have already submitted their applications can collect their passports as soon as they are ready, without the need to wait until April 15.
