On April 25th, the Senate of the University of Rzeszów celebrated a significant event by presenting the Grand Medal of the University to Mr. Władysław Ortyl, Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. This prestigious award, presented by Rector Professor Dr. hab. Sylwester Czopek and Rector-Elect Professor Dr. hab. med. Adam Reich, recognizes Mr. Ortyl’s substantial contributions to the university’s development. The ceremony was attended by esteemed members of the Voivodeship Board, including Deputy Marshal Piotr Pilch, Anna Huk, and Stanisław Kruczek.
In addition to this, on March 22, 2024, Minister of Science Dariusz Wieczorek awarded scholarships to eighteen outstanding students of the University of Rzeszów for their exceptional academic achievements during the 2023/2024 academic year. These scholarships, valued at 17,000 PLN each, were granted to students from diverse programs, including Medical, Tourism and Recreation, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Finance and Accounting, Law, Biology, and Jazz and Popular Music.
This year, out of 1,048 applications that met the criteria, 386 students were awarded the Minister of Science Scholarships. The scholarship amount is disbursed in a single installment within 14 days of the university receiving the funds.
