Bulgarians spent about €239 per person in 2022, and €1.5 billion total was taken out of the national budget for tourism-related expenses. Bulgarians typically vacationed in Greece, Turkey, Romania, Hungary, and the United Kingdom.
Croatians spent a total of €1.4 billion on outbound travel in 2022. They are well-versed in the tourism industry thanks to the millions of tourists that flock to their stunning islands every year. This shows a per-capita expenditure of €374. However, Croatians enjoy traveling to other European nations, particularly those that are close to them geographically, such as France, Slovenia, Austria, and Germany.
