Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform cleaning tasks by applying cleaning solutions or compounds onto surfaces using mops, brushes, or spreaders, ensuring cleanliness and protection.
2. Operate jackhammers and drills proficiently to break concrete or pavement as required on construction sites.
3. Participate in the placement of concrete or masonry structures according to project specifications.
4. Assist in positioning, joining, aligning, and sealing structural components like concrete wall sections accurately.
5. Communicate effectively with equipment operators to facilitate the alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, materials, and equipment.
6. Utilize floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools to achieve smooth and finished surfaces on freshly poured cement or concrete.
7. Monitor and operate machines responsible for pumping concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster, or stucco through spray-guns for ceiling and wall applications.
8. Maintain and operate pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or for heating and material movement purposes.
9. Construct and set up forms for concrete pouring and dismantle them post-use, employing saws, hammers, nails, or bolts as needed.
10. Prepare construction sites by cleaning and eliminating potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
11. Manage traffic flow near, within, and around work zones to maintain safety standards.
12. Erect and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, etc., as per project requirements.
13. Perform surface treatments such as grinding, scraping, sanding, or polishing on materials like concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring using appropriate abrasive tools or machines.
14. Handle loading, unloading, and identification of building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them as per project plans and specifications.
15. Provide assistance and support to other craft workers as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
2. Proficiency in using arms and hands to handle and manipulate objects.
3. Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
4. Competence in climbing up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other elevated objects.
5. Possession of general knowledge regarding tools, equipment, and safety protocols in construction environments.
