According to EU Helpers, Ambassador Balducci stated that the embassy anticipates a large rise in the number of visas awarded through the end of the year compared to 2022 as a result of the passage of more benevolent regulations.
He added that there has already been a lot of interest, prompting the embassy to select a larger location to handle the large number of applicants seeking an Italy visa.
As indicated by Ambassador Balducci, Kuwaitis no longer need to wait more than 48 hours to learn the outcome of their application. As a result, the time needed to secure a visa has been significantly shortened for them.
The Ambassador further emphasized that the visa fee does not change and noted that the new "cascade" regime for Kuwaiti nationals merely serves to streamline the application process.
The Delegation of the EU to the State of Kuwait stated that the new visa "cascade" regime would permit the issuance of visas with a five-year validity for all eligible applicants, including first-time travelers, back in September when specific rules on the issuing of multiple entry visas to nationals of Kuwait were adopted.
The EU's decision to adopt more lenient visa policies for Kuwaiti people is evidence of the EU's steadfast confidence that Kuwait is a crucial ally of the union, according to the Delegation of the EU to the State of Kuwait.
The same stated that all Schengen Member States will implement more benevolent visa policies for Kuwaitis in accordance with the adoption.
Similar to Italy, Austria has issued a large number of visas to citizens of Kuwait, with the number of visas issued so far this year being 40% higher than in the same period last year, according to the authorities.
Christian Vlazny, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Austrian Embassy in Kuwait, stated earlier in September that the embassy has granted more over 7,000 Kuwaitis Schengen visas so far this year.
