Exciting news from the Faculty of Social Sciences (WNS) at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn! Starting from October this year, they're offering some brand-new majors for students to dive into.
One of these fresh courses is called "Re-socialisation with Penitentiary Studies." According to Dr. Beata Adrjan, who's an associate dean for education, this course is opening up because there's a demand for it in the job market. It's all about giving students the chance to gain new skills and qualifications that are needed out there.
But that's not all! There's another exciting addition at WNS: along with the Sociology major for the Master's program, they're also introducing new Bachelor's and Master's programs in Pedagogy.
Just a couple of years ago, they had a lot of students interested in their Bachelor's program in Sociology. And guess what? Those students wanted to keep on studying! So, the folks at WNS thought, "Why not?" and decided to open up a Master's program in Sociology too.
It's all about giving students more options and opportunities to learn and grow. Who knows what amazing things they'll discover along the way? So, if you're keen to explore these new paths in social sciences, keep an eye out for more updates from the University of Warmia and Mazury!
